Looking to expand your income streams as a wedding photographer? You came to the right place to explore your options.
I have been slowly snowballing different income streams that do not require taking photos for over 3 years now and slowly building each area. I’ll be sharing insights of my personal experiences doing so and what has been working, what hasn’t been working, and where I’ve seen the most progress and income so far.
Using a wedding photography blog and writing strong SEO and keywords writing pieces will help bring traffic to your website which can potentially help with more leads for and also signing up google adsense so every time your blog gets viewed, so will the ads which create an extra income stream.
In my experience with blogging and google adsense so far has been an EXTREMELY slow growth, but this is something we only focused on during slower photography periods when bookings were lower (like winter), or only when we had extra time. We have never really stayed consistent with it until recently we’ve seen more growth with a more consistent output which has been generating an extra income stream. So far since we started blogs with google adsense in 2025, we have accumulated a balance of $34.88 total. This feels like a huge milestone for us considering how long we’ve been putting out blogs and finally seeing a little chunk of extra income rolling in is a true definition of delayed gratification.
Blogging with google adsense = working ✔️

This is by far the most income we have made with wedding photography besides photographing. This is a dream and a vision that took over 2 years to really see results. The vision started as wanting to sell all the extra presets in my lightroom catalogs, and grew into a way to repurpose all the client guide, templates and web digital products we were currently using and converting everything into a template for other wedding photographers to also purchase and use to enhance their wedding photography.
By the time we started a batch output of products, then constantly uploading new weekly digital products we had saw a crazy increase in income. We utilized etsy ads and that helped push our products to the right etsy buyers and bump up our revenue.
This income as a wedding photographer, has been super helpful during slow photography months because photographers are looking to organize and revamp their experience which means more sales for our shop during months that may be slower for income. We worked a long long time to make this vision come true, but we stuck with it and are seeing the delayed results years later.

This is a super passive way of generating a little more income for your wedding photography business, pic-time makes it super easy to send holiday campaign sales to all your gallery users and viewers to purchase high quality prints as gifts or for your home. It is super effortless and an extra income we never had to put much effort in to see a return.
Highly recommend setting up your pic-time print shop in your account to effortlessly generate another income for yourself. While we may not receive a ton of orders, its still an extra chunk of money you didn’t have before for as little work as possible.

We have been struggling to kick off this stream of income, it’s a source of income that requires attention from other platforms to be able to achieve a good result with this. For example, we use links in almost every blog, and every youtube video we make but since our audience is still small, it’s more difficult to get commissions with a small audience.
This will be one of those streams of income we will see results later down the road and slowly keep tying it into our current routines and outputs. For now we like building the habit of using the links where we can and letting the insights and results slowly grow.

In 2025, I started creating youtube videos consistently every week until busy season came around and had to put it on pause until I saw an opportunity to repurpose again!! Instead of taking extra time to record, edit and publish videos talking to the camera, I started screen recording myself editing during busy season. Something I was already doing and just adding an extra step to record it and post it, another effortless way to build a stream of income.
We are currently working towards being eligible for google adsense on youtube as another stream of income. Since this is not currently generating any new revenue for us, we attach our main stream of passive income (Etsy Shop) linked into every video so we can at least bring more traffic to sources actively making money.
With this stream of income, as a wedding photographer it’s easy to be able to slowly work away at this during slower periods until we start seeing income generating results.

As a wedding photographer, there are so many things your currently doing that can be repurposed into a stream of income. That’s the way my brain has been wired these last few years, instead of finding more time, just using the time and resources you currently have to make your income grow. What are you currently using in your photography business that you can think of repurposing into extra revenue for yourself?
Thanks for being here! I hope your wedding photography business brings you an abundance of cash flow, happiness and creativity this year. Cheers!
